We took inspiration for our rose matcha latte from singer Edith Piaf's song, La Vie en Rose. The English translation? "Life in pink," or "life in rosy hues."
INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 CUP MILK OF CHOICE
- 1/2 CUP WATER
- 1 TSP MATCHA (WE LOVE CHAMBERLAIN COFFEE)
- 1 TBSP MADAGASCAR VANILLA DAYSIE
- 1/4 CUP HEAVY CREAM (CHILLED)
- ICE CUBES
- 1/4 TSP ROSE WATER
- ROSE PETALS FOR GARNISH
DIRECTIONS
Rose Cream:
- In a small bowl, combine heavy cream, Daysie & rose water
- Blend slowly with a portable frother till consistency is foam like.
- Set aside.
Matcha:
- Rinse out the cocktail shaker to make the matcha concentrate. Add water and matcha powder to the shaker. Give it 10 shakes to thoroughly break up the powder creating a smooth texture.
- Add milk and shake some more.
- Set aside.
Layered Assembly:
- Fill glass with ice
- Add matcha layer to glass
- Top glass with rose cream mixture
